EVANS, Mrs. Gracie Mae - Age 86, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Medilodge in Montrose, MI. Family hour 1:30 PM Monday, May 10, 2021from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Monday. Mrs. Evans will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM Saturday, May 8, 2021. Mrs. Gracie Mae Love (Evans) was born April 29th, 1935 in Newton, Mississippi. Living to see 86 years of life, she battled with Cancer from 2013 through the present, starting with Ovarian Cancer to Stage 4 Brain Cancer. Being the fighter she is, she wanted (1) more birthday and she received it, as she passed away and went to be with the Lord on her birthday April 29th, 2021. Pastor Morris Collins (Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church) will be officiating the service. All services will be held at ‘Moon Funeral Home’. The viewing of the body will be; May 8th, 2021 at 10am-1pm. Everyone will be allowed in, during this time. (Be Safe!)The funeral services will be; May 10th, 2021 with limited capacity (COVID protocol). Only immediate family will be allowed at the scheduled family hour at 1:30pm-2pm, followed by the service. Immediately following services around 3:30pm procession will proceed to ‘Grace Lawn Cemetery’ as her final resting place. (All are welcome to attend). Mrs. Gracie Evans leaves to cherish her memory: 3 children; Willie Evans Jr. (Son) / Vanessa Burton (Fiance) , Billie Evans (Son) / Gail Evans (Wife) and Alexander Evans (Son). 5 GrandChildren; Taisha Evans, Damico Evans, Crystal Grimes, Domonique Evans and Qwanese Evans. 5 Great GrandChildren; Kaitlyn Utt, Shauney Wilder, Layla Jackson-Garcia, Kameryn Beasterfield and Torre Grimes Jr. Brother; Roy Beal / Kelether Beal (Wife) Sister; Mae Jewel Chapman. A host of niece and nephews and extended beautiful family / church family that loved her so much - she was well loved by everyone. Mrs. Gracie Evans was preceded in death by; Mother; Minnie Evans, Father; Jeffie Love, Brother; Jessie Love, Sister; Lula Pearl Atkins and Sister-In-Law; Paulette Beal. The family would like to express special thanks to; Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church for everything, Medilodge of Montrose & staff for being there throughout her last month of her beautiful life and especially through these trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Gracie was never one for goodbyes, always “see you later”(s). So, in this saddened time, this too is a “see you later”. |
