MCINERNEY, Thelma T. – of Frankenmuth, formerly of Burt, Michigan died Monday, November 25, 2024 at Covenant Healthcare of Saginaw. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2024 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Thomas McNamara officiating. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Holiday Winter Village Bingo Program.
Thelma was born August 10, 1936 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Clair and Helen (Freberger) Huntley. On April 9, 1976 she married James McInerney in Saginaw, Michigan. She has resided in the Burt, Michigan area for over 40 years. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she worked for A & P Grocery Store as a Meat Wrapper with 20 years of service. Thelma enjoyed fishing and traveling to Texas in the winter months with her husband James. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Alan (Nadine) Achtabowski, Andy (Karen) Achtabowski; Robin (Chris) Mahoney, Fay Shackelford, Brian McInerney, Kevin (Cathy) McInerney, Sherry McInerney, Terrance (Shannon) McInerney, Shawn McInerney, Kelly (Theresa) McInerney, Laurie (Kevin) Spear, Bridget (Jake) Pickard; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; Brother, Earl (Deb) Huntley. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Daughters, Sally Achtabowski, Christina Badger; Siblings, James Huntley, Esther Achtabowski, Stella Szymanski.
