Arlene June Lampson, of Flushing, Michigan, age 93, died Sunday January 22, 2023. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Foster will officiate. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1-3 & 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries or Pregnancy Resource Center of Flint.
Arlene was born in Grand Blanc, Michigan on June 3, 1929, to Frederick and Leta (Frownfelter) Hoeksema. She was a Flint Northern High School graduate and worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company after graduating. Arlene married Richard Lampson on May 26, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2018. She was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Arlene liked to knit, crochet, and sew. She made numerous items for the crisis pregnancy center. She enjoyed bird watching and her different pet dogs from over the years. Arlene loved to read, solve crosswords and gardening. Above all, Arlene loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Richard) Coats and Duane (Pam) Lampson; grandchildren, Jeremy Lampson and Jenni (Dale) Bayliff; great-grandchildren, Leta, Ruby, and Owen; and cousin, Mark Hoeksema. She was preceded in death by her son, Doran Lampson; her husband, Richard Lampson; and both her parents. |
