CRISPELL, Janette Jean – of Birch Run, age 85, died Monday, August 22, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2022. The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Memorial contribution can be made to the Birch Run Fire Department.
Janette was born July 17, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to the late Myron and Mary (Haicl) Ferguson. She grew up in Birch Run and attended Birch Run High School. On January 29, 1954 she married the love of her life, Gerald Crispell in Coldwater, Michigan. Prior to her retirement, Janette worked for Birch Run Schools as a Teacher Aide with 21 years of service. She attended Birch Run United Methodist Church. Janette enjoyed sewing, reading, knitting and crocheting. She loved spending time at their cottage with her Sand Lake Family. However, her greatest joy in life was her husband, children, and grandchildren. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the Hurley Medical Center.
Surviving are: Husband of 68 years, Gerald Crispell; Children, Dennis Crispell, Jeri Lynn Crispell, Sherry (Steve) Charland, Marianne Kinder; Grandchildren, Heather Martin, Jason (Marianne) Crispell, Brandon (Julie) Charland, Bridget (Bryan) Vawter, Tayler Hill, Emilie Kinder, Evan Kinder; Great Grandchildren, Ashley Martin, Aiden Crispell, Nicholas Crispell, Keith Charland, Evelyn Charland, Hailey Vawter, Jaycob Hill; Siblings, Doris (Bob) McKee, Aggie Morse, Ruby (Dave) Fox; Sister in law, Carol Ferguson; several special nieces and nephews; Special Cousin Sandy Amey and Special Friend, Rose Magnus. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Jerry Ferguson; Brother in law, Paul (Betty Lou) Crispell.
