Carla Jean (Snider) Simpson-Dougherty, of Flint, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on October 23, 1957, Carla spent her life caring for others. Her career at Carman-Ainsworth was a meaningful part of that. She had a gift for making people feel seen and welcomed, and her laughter could brighten even the hardest days. Nothing mattered more to her than her family, whom she loved with her whole heart.
Carla is survived by her children David (Christel), Jessie, Katie, Ronnie, and Tommie; her grandchildren Summer, Sebastain, Rylee, Makenna, and Olivia; and her great-granddaughter Aspen. She is also survived by her siblings Debbie, Marianne (Marshall), Cindy, and Steve.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elton Gene and Barbara Ann Snider, her sisters Patty and Denise, her nieces Gena and Trisha, and her nephew Steven.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10:00am to 1:30pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473, with a time of sharing at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Katie Simpson through the funeral home to assist with final expenses. Guests may visit the funeral home’s website to sign the guestbook and share memories |
