MEEK, RUTH ANNA – of Davison, age 78, passed away on July 13, 2021 at Porter Adult Foster Care in Mt. Morris. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 12 PM Monday, July 19, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison RD. Davison, MI; Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Interment will immediately follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed 4 PM on Sunday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday.
Ruth was born in Flint, MI on October 14, 1942, daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Russell) Downey. She loved her gardening, flowers, and her butterflies. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Thompson, Shanna (Randy) Mallette and Theresa (Allen) Gray-Vinton; grandchildren, Krystle (Richard) Vest and Joseph Gray Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jacob Meek, Maia and Kira Vest; sister, Gail (Richard) Ring and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter Mary Ellen and brother, John Downey.
