HARRIS (CAVERLY), JANICE F. – Of Gaines, age 74, died Sunday, December 17, 2023 at her residence, after a short illness.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial is being planned for the future.
Janice was born on January 19, 1949 in New London, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Harry and Kathy (Bodrie) Caverly.
She graduated from Lake Fenton High School in 1967. She worked for many years as the photo finisher at Sports Creek Raceway. She retired from Walmart in 2018.
Janice was a creative and caring person. She delighted in horseback riding, diamond painting, reading and being a grandmother.
She leaves behind her cherished children, Christina Hendricks and Daniel (Chelsey) Harris;
two very exceptional grandchildren, Karma Harris of Montana and Maverick Harris, with whom she shared a special bond.
She is also survived by siblings, Sonia Kelso, Terry Hitchings, Shelly Harris, Donna Schroeder, Ray Harris and Cheryl Brady;
many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends around the world.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
