Jenna Lynn Rekowski, age 38 of Lake Fenton, Michigan passed away January 21st, 2025 at her residence.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 2pm at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 W. Hill Rd. Flint, Michigan, Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation will begin at 11am prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Jenna was born on May 15, 1986 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Matthew and Barbara (Gough) Rekowski and was raised in Swartz Creek, Michigan. She loved the water, boating, and kayaking. Her favorite place was the family cottage on Higgins Lake.
Jenna grew up in Swartz Creek, and graduated from Swartz Creek High school, class of 2004.
She graduated from Michigan State University majoring in mathematics and minoring in Actuarial Science and was a member of Delta Gamma. Jenna went on to a successful career at Dell Technologies in Austin, TX and Washington, DC. She was a dedicated hard worker whose work ethic couldn’t be challenged. While in Washington, D.C., she earned her MBA from Georgetown University and developed many lifelong friendships along the way. In 2022 she decided to move back to Lake Fenton to be closer to family and friends.
Jenna worked in numerous different roles within Dell Computers for 15 years. She has previously lived in Austin Texas, Washinton D.C., and recently moved home to Fenton, Michigan. She traveled the world for both personal and professional endeavors. Jenna was passionate about philanthropy and volunteering, specifically in education and organizations that support women in technology. She was an avid reader and was always recommending the best books to friends and family. Jenna was a kindhearted, loyal, and passionate person who made friends everywhere she went. She was loved by many, especially her loyal companion, a chihuahua named Kilo, who rarely left her side. She recently became an Aunt to Kayson, who she was madly in love with.
Jenna is survived by her parents, Matt Rekowski, Barb (Andrew) Henry, sister, Kelly Rekowski (partner Dave Harmon), step sister and brothers, Jenny (Justin) Gardiner, Ben (Katie) Henry, Josh (Amanda) Henry, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jenna had a special bond with her one year old nephew Kayson and her dog Kilo who has been by her side for many years. She is preceded in death by grandparents Jerry and Joan Rekowski, Marvin and Norma Gough and Uncle Paul Rekowski and Aunts Monica Rekowski and Phyllis Anders and cousin, Joseph Skuta.
