WHITE, Jo Ann (Sage) , age 83, of Flint, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Swank Home Assisted Living in Swartz Creek, MI. She was a teacher in the Flint Public Schools for 30 years. She taught at Gundry, Scott, Cook, Dort, Oak, Parkland, Dewey, and Freeman Elementaries. Mrs. White is survived by her daughters Deanna (Don) Korth and Emily (Jerome Mullins) White, son David (Aimee) White and granddaughter Skylar White, and brother Gerald (Dian) Sage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, parents Arthur and Margaret (Heywood) Sage, and brother James Sage. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 12 PM Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Swank Home Assisted Living for their kindness and compassion during her time with them. They also appreciate the wonderful team of in-home caregivers that assisted her during her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The family wants to extend a special thank you to Callie, Chantel, Colleen, Erika, and Pam for the joy they gave her and the love they showed her during her final years.
