BELLMORE, Vaneta O. – of Burton, age 88, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at Melody Brookwood Care Home of Burton. Per Vaneta’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 12 PM Friday, May 16, 2014 at Bethel Assembly of God, 6029 Lapeer Rd., Burton, Rev. Linda Wortz officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at church.
Vaneta was born in Star Twp., MI on July 23, 1925, daughter of the late Jacob and Reva (Olds) Wortz. Vaneta Wortz married Rev. Lawrence R. Bellmore on August 21, 1946. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God, Director of Bethel Day Care Center and volunteered for Foster Grandparent Program.
Vaneta is survived by her children, Robert Bellmore, Patricia (the late, James) Lightfoot, Revanna (Jeff) Natchez, James (Christine) Bellmore, Yvonne (Larry) Henson, Darlene (Joel) Clark, Bradley (Julie) Bellmore; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence; son, David Lee; four brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 6, Davison, MI 48423.
