Edwin St. Pierre, 85, of Columbiaville, MI, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
He was born on September 10, 1938, to Eugene and Phyllis St Pierre in Flint, MI. Ed was raised in Flint and attended Flint Schools. After high school, Ed enlisted in the US Air Force where he spent 4 years serving his country. After leaving the military, Ed was hired into General Motors - Grand Blanc as skilled trades working in metal fab. Ed retired from the shop in 1992 after 30 years of employment with GM. Ed was proud of the fact that he was retired as long as he had been employed.
Friends and family referred to him as “Big Ed” not because he was particularly big, as he was only 5 foot 11, but because of his personality, attitude, and his boisterous laugh that could fill the room.
Ed’s hobbies included playing softball, fishing, bow hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Ed is survived by his sons;Joseph St. Pierre and Mike St. Pierre, step children; David Thibert and Machelle Cunningham, niece, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, wives, daughter, and 2 step daughters.
