MOSS, Doris Jean (Wilson) - age 91 of Linden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettel officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Doris was born on January 13, 1932, to Rufus William Wilson and Lillian Opal Bannon. She attended Utley High School where she enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and wrote for the High School paper. In 1949 she married Billy Joe Moss and spent 51 years together before he preceded her in death in 2000. She worked for AC Spark Plug for 37.5 years, retiring in 1989. She loved being involved with the United Way and truly loved her AC friends. Doris spent several years in Florida for the winters and loved her cottage at St. Helen in the summers. Doris touched many lives through her kindness. She loved people and people loved her. She is survived by three children. Mark Moss of Clio, Gloria (Edward) Dickerson of Linden and Susan (Jim) Starrs of Linden. Grandchildren, Lisa (John) Callard, Mark (Laci) Moss, Michele (Josh) Elenbaas, Kate (Tom) Joachimi, Scott (Anita) Dickerson, Jill (Brad) Smude, Clint (Abby) Starrs, Andrew Charchan (Tresa Griffith) and Adam (Maureen) Charchan. Great-grandchildren: Jordynn, Tyler, Harlee, Markus, Aubreana, Mackinlee, Cole, Chase, Jack, Daniel, Luke, Loryn, Addie, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Rylee, Scarlett, Cannon, Easton, Luke, Brooke, Max, Maverick, and Chloe. Great Great Grandchildren: Aiden, Sophia, Jaden, and Jamisen. She also leaves her three surviving siblings: James Wilson of Fort Wayne, IN, Charles (Monika) Wilson of Sacramento, CA and Roger Wilson of Lennon, MI. Sister-in-law, Lorene Wilson of Grand Blanc, MI; many nieces and nephews and adored friend, Winona Gardner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Moss, baby Gregory Joe, parents, Rufus and Lillian Wilson, brothers, Robert and Ronald Wilson, sisters, Billie Marie Hunt, and Nancy Daralynn Morgan; daughter-in-law Judy Moss.
