PACIOREK, DELORES JEAN “HONEY”
of Clio, age 88, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Hurley Hospital. She will be cremated, and at this time no services will be held due to Covid. At a later date, the family will hold a burial ceremony for both her and her husband of 69 years, Florian “Joe” Paciorek, who preceded her in death on May 30, 2019. Afterwards there will be a picnic to celebrate Delores’s life and the many wonderful years that her and Joe spent together. Details for burial and celebration will come later. Memorial contributions may be made to the children of Delores and Joe to help them purchase a headstone for their gravesite.
Delores was born on August 11, 1933, in Millington, Michigan to the late Raymond and Crystal (Ferrin) Noyce. She married Florian “Joe” Paciorek on December 29, 1951, at All Saints Catholic Church in Flint. They had been members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris for many years.
Delores’s passion was sewing. She started to sew while still in high school and later opened ‘Needle & Thread Sewing and Alterations’ in Mt. Morris. She was the seamstress in town that everyone knew and loved. She did everything from minor alterations to large weddings throughout her career. When her father passed away, she moved her business into her home so that she could care for her mother. Delores and Joe took care of Crystal in their home from 1979 until she passed in 1995.
The only thing Delores loved more than sewing was her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she loved spending time with them. That love spread to her nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws. If you were a part of her family, she loved you very much, and she always made sure you knew that. She was truly kind and would do anything she could to help anyone. If you had the blessing of knowing her, you know she had the most beautiful soul. She was loved and will be missed by so many.
She also enjoyed singing and dancing, and you would often find her dancing with one of her children or grandchildren in the middle of the living room. She loved the Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell and loved to travel to his concerts. She met him many times. He even went to visit her in the hospital after she had traveled to one of his concerts but ended up sick and in the hospital. She was an ardent fan.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory 3 children: Chris Burns, Randy (Mary Beth) Paciorek, and Tami Dunich. 8 Grandchildren: Anthony (Jennifer) Burns, Mandy (Tyler) Burns, Adam Paciorek, Benjamin (Natalie) Paciorek, Danielle (Wes) Brooks, Elizabeth (Alan) Barry, Joseph Tyszko, Kaeli (Justine) Dunich. 8 Great grandchildren: Michael, D ’Anthony, and Isabeth Burns, Naomi Montgomery, Angelise Lambert, Wyatt Brooks, River Brooks-Oliver, and Lunah Oliver. Brother-in-law Frank Paciorek, sister-in-law Mary Paciorek, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Loretta Hains and Beverly Franchier. 3 brothers: Donald, Bernard, and Wayne Noyce. And great grandson, Aiden Lambert.
