GOERTLER, Nancy G. (Treese) - Of Flint, MI, age 85, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Bruce Billing officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Phoenix United Methodist Church. Visitation 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Nancy was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 1, 1930. She married Gordon E. Goertler on December 19, 1953 and moved to Flint. He preceded her in death. She attended Phoenix United Methodist Church. Nancy worked as an IMC Clerk for the Flint Community Schools in Walker and Pierce Elementary Schools from 1978-1995.
Surviving are her 3 children, Michael (Linda), Robin (Barry) Trenchard and Valerie Conover;
2 granddaughters, Dawn Michajlyszyn and Alyssa Trenchard
4 great-grandchildren;
1 great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Armel Treese.
