Blanchett, Valerie Mae - Age 37, of Grand Blanc, died December 12, 2022. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 15 at St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church 2439 S. Long Lake Rd. Father Gabriel Bilas officiating. Visitation will be held 10 AM Thursday at the church until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Lyme Light Foundation (lymelightfoundation.org) Valerie was born August 2, 1985 in Flint, the daughter of Donald and Elaine (Vasas) Blanchett. Valerie always loved with her whole heart and put everyone before her self. She had a beautiful and caring soul. After graduating high school she became a certified personal fitness trainer. Valerie is survived by her mother, Elaine Blanchett; brother, Luke and wife Kelly Blanchett; beloved nephew and niece, Lukie Donald and Anna Mary Blanchett; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her loving "Aunt Cookie" Donna Hopkins, a dear friend of the family. Although her time here on earth came to a close, she is at home in the arms of Jesus. Special thank you to Jill and the entire staff at Harmony Cares Medical Group for the special care they provided. She is preceded in death by her father, her #1 guy Donald Blanchett. Throughout the years they shared their love of art and many daddy daughter dances. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Philip and Virginia Blanchett; Michael and Helen Vasas; Aunt Connie and Uncle Andy.
