STANDAL, Margaret - of Flint, age 93, died Friday, September 16, 2022 at New Heights Assisted Living in Clarkston.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2022 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 706 Beach Street, Flint.

Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
Visitation 10:30 am Saturday, October 8, 2022 at church until the time of the Mass.
Margaret was born in Flint, Michigan on February 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Louis and Florence (Coates) Bergeron. She graduated from St. Matthew Catholic High School and earned an Associate's Degree at Flint Junior College. On March 15, 1951, she married Robert W. Standal who preceded her in death on August 16, 2015. She was a life-long faithful parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Margaret was a member of the Altar Society and a Catechism teacher for many years. She was an active member of the Opti-Mrs. Club for 30 years. A dedicated mother, she loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She had endless devotion to her family, and took great pride in their academic, extracurricular, sports and career achievements.
Surviving are children, Robert W. Standal Jr. and wife Deborah, Thomas P. Standal and wife Maria, James E. Standal and wife Lisa, Mary Lisa Joslyn and husband Mark and Ann-Marie Standal Okros;
grandchildren, Bobby Standal III and wife Heather, Adam Standal and wife Cherie, Michael Standal and wife Taylor, Darian Williams and husband Ross, Tommy Standal II, Allie Rizzo and husband Adam, Jane Standal, Louis Joslyn and Fiancee Alexandra Weber, Nick Joslyn, Sophia Okros and fiance Drake Eubanks, Ava Okros and Larson Okros, Brian VanWormer and Danielle Jackson;
11 great-grandchildren;
and sister-in-law, Madalyn Standal Underwood.
Special thank you to Sarah and Julian Thomas of New Heights Assisted Living and caregivers, Amy, Melissa, Norma, Serena, Wendi, Silvey and Hope for the boundless love and care which they extended to Margaret.
