Leland Charles Lake, Jr.
Age 80 of Corunna, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00am until the time of service.
Leland was born on April 6, 1943 to Leland, Sr. and Margaret Lake in Obispo, California. He married the love of his life, Gloria Collins, on June 18, 1966. They shared 56 years of marriage.
Leland worked as a lineman at General Motors for 38 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors such as hunting, fishing, splitting wood and riding a wet bike. He especially loved camping and traveling with his family as well as spending time with his grandkids, showing them the ropes of life.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gloria; Son, Matthew (Heather) Lake; grandchildren, Stephanie Valentin, Joshua (Ashlee) Valentin, Katelyn (Alex) Dungerow, Nicholas (Jillian) Lake, Nicole (Jared) Carpenter, Jakob (Kendra) Lake, Courtney Ostrander; 13 great grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and friends.
Leland is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Carol Lake.
