FINCH, Gerald – of Davison, age 73, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at McLaren – Flint. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be celebrated 1 PM Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place following the Service. Visitation will be from 2-7 PM Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. There will be visitation starting at 10 AM prior to the Service on Friday, May 6, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Jerry’s memory.

Jerry was born in Flint, MI on December 10, 1948, son of the late Raymond and Wava Carlene (Bowerman) Finch. He married Joy (Cook) Antcliff on March 28, 1981. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. Jerry received a Purple Heart Medal for his service during the Vietnam War. He was known for his great sense of humor. Jerry was an avid sports lover, a big fan of U of M, Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. Jerry especially cherished the time that he spent with his grandchildren and loved watching them play sports. He was a very proud Papa and was thrilled to have recently became a great grandpa. Jerry enjoyed going to Florida every year since 1998 with his beloved wife, Joy, and spending time with special friends. Jerry would always have a great time during the holidays, playing cards and volleyball with the entire Finch family.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Joy; son, Allan (Julie) Antcliff; grandchildren, Allan Antcliff Jr., Makayla (fiancé, Maveric Goschke) Antcliff, Dylan (girlfriend, Taylor Rice) Antcliff; great grandson, Mason Quade Goschke; siblings, Patricia (Richard) Mrozek, Diane (Ed) Fuller, Ronald Finch and David (Kathy) Finch; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Wava Carlene; in-laws, Virgil and Betty Cook; and special brother-in-law, Craig Cook.
