KIRK, Brenda Joyce (Beck) - Age 79, of Flint Township, died Saturday, July 16, 2022. Per Brenda's request cremation has taken place and a celebration service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.
Brenda was born September 26, 1942 in McRae, AR, the daughter of Charlie and Mildred (Maples) Golden. She attended Utley High School. She married Larry Gene Beck May 17, 2003 in Flint and he preceded her in death March 15, 2009. She retired from Molding Materials as a die caster and she had also worked at the V.F.W. Chevrolet Post #3087 as a bartender. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Chevrolet Post #3087; she also was a member of the Burton Eagles Aerie #3814, and the American Legion Carpenter Road. Brenda was a avid animal activist thru the Genesee County Humane Society.
Surviving are: her children, Ronda (Bill) Hayward of Flint Township, Michelle (Robbin) Miller of Flint, Talise Reed of Flint Township, and Honald (Tonya) Howe of Flint Township; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Kirk of Swartz Creek; and nephew, Toby Kirk. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charlie Kirk. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
