PAYNE, Raymond Larry – of Montrose, age 81, died Monday, March 22, 2021 at Medilodge of Montrose. Honoring Raymond’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Raymond was born July 16, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert and Reva (Wanamaker) Payne. He grew up flint, Michigan and attended school there. He married Bernitta Harger and she preceded him in death in 2018. Prior to his retirement, Raymond worked for Gm as a Booth Cleaner with 28 years of service. He was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge # 1437. Raymond enjoyed drinking beer and playing pool. He loved to have fun and make people laugh. He also loved to go to the car shows and dance at Twins Pizza in Clio, Michigan.
Surviving are: Children, Larry Payne, Kevin (Diane) Payne, Richard Payne, Regina (Bill) Bradshaw; Grandchildren, Sara (Jeff) DeMarco, Kyle Payne, Ashley (Luke) Nixon, Jacob Bradshaw, Wes Bradshaw; Great Grandchildren, Chloe Nixon, Cameryn DeMarco, Isaac DeMarco, Jacob Bradshaw Jr., Gabby Bradshaw; Siblings, Janice (Tom) Fader, Gordon Payne; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Bernitta Payne; Siblings, Doris Hall, Kenneth Payne, Ruthann Mills.
