Reid, Shaleen A. – of Clio, age 72 passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Shaleen’s life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio from 1PM until 4PM.
Shaleen was born April 21, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Earl and June (Judd) West. Throughout her life, Shaleen had a radiant spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. She graduated from Clio High School in 1969 and went on to work in the local schools, where she found joy in watching over and caring for children. Her loving and nurturing nature extended beyond her profession, as she spent countless hours spreading kindness and warmth wherever she went. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters going on trips and movie dates. Among her favorite pastimes were playing pool, participating in exciting games of bingo, and immersing herself in the beauty of nature through camping adventures and cozy campfire nights. Shaleen found solace in the pages of her Bible, finding comfort and wisdom within its verses. Above all, Shaleen's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandkids, whom she adored with all her heart. They were her pride and joy, and their laughter was music to her soul.
Left to cherish her memory are: Sons: Jason (Nikki Clapham) Reid, and Jeremy (Alisa Bernecker) Reid; Grandchildren: Jordan (Scott) Cerveny, Jozalyn Reid, Jade Reid, Audreyanna Reid, Austin Reid, Jeremy Reid, and Jessa Reid; Great Granddaughter, Elaine; Sisters: Kim Dues, and Tammy (Gary) Chadwell; She was blessed with several nieces and nephews.
