Lisa Ann Kreider, age 58, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Lisa was born October 5, 1963.
"Lisa did not have children of her own, but she loved kids and she had a special way with them. She was very sensitive to their needs and always wanted to protect them and enrich their lives in any way she could. She surrounded herself with children and became a second "mother" to any child that came into her life. This included her nieces (Breanna, Christina, Stacy and Katie) and her nephews (Bryan, Kooper and Jaxson).
And then,13 years ago, Lisa’s dream came true when she started a relationship with Jerry and became a mother to his 3 sons. They were very fortunate to have her come into their lives and Lisa was in her glory because she finally had her "own" children. And they were her children! The boys moved from Florida to live with Lisa and Jerry in Michigan. Lisa helped them flourish anyway she could - making sure they had good attendance at school, monitoring their schoolwork, involving them in cooking, and planning fun activities and vacations for the family. She was an excellent mother and family time was important to her!
Lisa loved to organize events. She organized progressive dinners at Christmas time for her family. She would always outdo everyone with her food and decorations - we couldn't compete! The nieces would vote on which house had the best Christmas decorations and Lisa would always win - she loved to decorate for all occasions and events and she would go all out. She made every occasion more special - graduations, weddings, showers, etc. She also, for many years, has been the organizer for our extended family Christmas party that is held every year in a rented hall.
Lisa lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel and everyone close to her benefited because she would plan activities, trips, and vacations that included all her loved ones. While the nieces were growing up, trips to Chicago were a regular. She planned a trip for each of her nieces when they graduated from high school. Each niece got to choose a location - New York City (Breanna), Washington DC. (Christina), Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio (Stacy), and Gone with the Wind Museum in Marietta, Georgia (Katie). She also was the planner and organizer of "sister" vacations. Lisa also loved to go camping. She and Jerry purchased a travel trailer and they, along with other family members, spent many weekends camping.
Surviving are father, Cletus Emmendorfer, fiance; Gerard R. Birchmeier, Children; Mitchell Birchmeier, Andrew Birchmeier and Alex Birchmeier, sisters; Leann (Mike) Phillips, Karen Birdsley ( Timothy Look), Brenda ( Chris) Dinsmore, nieces; Stacy (Dustin) McDaniel, Katie (Cam) Brackins, Breanna Dinsmore, Christina (Jessie) Burton, sister-in-laws; Judy (Paul) Cook , Amy (Jeff) Kenas, Brother-in-laws; Greg (Jennifer) Birchmeier, Roy (Ann) Birchmeier, Ralph Jr. Birchmeier ( Anna Rigda). Nieces and nephews on Jerry's side; Bria, Paige, Sydney, Olivia, Emma, Audrey, Bryan, Jaxson and Kooper. Lisa was loved by many and she will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Emmendorfer; mother, JoAnne Emmendorfer and nephew Bryan Davies. Lisa's beloved Scottish Terrier, Bella of 16 years also passed away earlier this year.
A memorial visitation for Lisa will be held Wednesday August 17, 2022 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at
Hill Funeral Home 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday August 18, 2022 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church 11804 S. Saginaw Street Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Family is asking that all guest wear mask for the Memorial Visitation and Memorial Service.
