BRIDGES, Mrs. Annie Mae-age 92, of Flint, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her residence. Calling hours are 1:00pm - 6:00pm Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. The final resting place for Mrs. Bridges will be Sunset Hills Association, Flint, MI.
Mrs. Annie Mae Bridges was born July 9, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Baker and Ijara Griggs.
Annie grew up in Rondo, Arkansas and graduated from Anna Strong High School in Marianna, Arkansas. She married Raymond Bridges Sr. in Arkansas and later moved back to Flint, Michigan. She was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She worked at Flint Osteopathic Hospital and Smith Bridgman Department Store. Annie loved to sew, garden, and enjoyed bingo. But most of all, Annie loved her children and grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Annie Mae Bridges leaves to cherish her memory: son, Raymond Bridges, Jr.; daughter, Annette Bridges; 13 grandchildren, Laquita Shelton, Arthur Shelton, Montain Peckmon, Rochelle Bridges, Miles Bridges, Norriseus Tony, Mariah Carroll, Zachery Carroll, Sarah Carroll, Josh Carroll, Chris Taylor, Brandi Bridges, and Nicole Newton; sister-in-law, Betty Griggs; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mrs. Esther and Mrs. Obie.
Mrs. Annie Bridges was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Bridges, Sr.; daughter, Barbara Bridges; sons, Arthur Griggs and Vernon Bridges; grandson, Michael Bridges; brothers, Obie Griggs, Arthur Griggs, Johnny Griggs and Jim Griggs.
