SAYAD, John – of Wellston, MI formerly of Davison, MI, age 72, passed away on April 21, 2022 at his residence. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 29, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Assyrian Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1-3 PM and 4-7 PM Thursday April 28, 2022. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 4499 in Manistee.
John was born in Flint, MI on May 6, 1949, son of the late Frank and Anna Mae (Joseph) Sayad. He married Nicki Lynn Hartman on August 16, 1969 and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2004. John was an avid pool shooter, golfer, hunter, fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved hanging out in his pole barn with all of his friends and family rooting on the Detroit Tigers and the Michigan Wolverines. John had an infectious laugh that nobody will forget. He was a member of the Manistee VFW, Davison/Interlochen Eagles, and Cadillac Moose Lodge.
John is survived by his son, Brandon (Katie Simeoni); grandchildren, Jonathon Sayad and Gia Sayad; girlfriend of 17 years, Mary Sue Morrow; sisters, Sharon Roddy, Gail Milledge and Linda Metzger; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Stacy and step-father, Dave Page.
