Jeanne Denise Van Hamlin of Flint age 66, died Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place with no public services. Those desiring may make a contribution in her memory to the Corrina Van Hamlin Scholarship Fund c/o Jonathon Van Hamlin.
Jeanne was born in Flint, Michigan on August 4, 1955, the daughter of the late James & Corrine (Groulx) Fry and resided in Flint her entire life. She was a graduate of Flint Powers High School, Class of 1973 and attended the University of Michigan-Flint. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholics Church, Flint. Jeanne enjoyed thrift shopping, being outdoors and spending numerous hours gardening. She also loved to create art for family and friends. Until retiring, Jeanne was employed by Luigi’s Restaurant for over twenty-five years.
Her memory will be cherished by sons Jonathon (wife Beth) and Philip Van Hamlin, her best friend Darlene Thompson and her former Husband William Van Hamlin (Jolynn). She will also be missed by her six grandchildren – Taylor (wife Macayla), Trystan, Madelynn, Olivia, and Ryan, five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Danielle Fry, and a host of extended family and friends. Jeanne is preceded in death by daughter Corrina Van Hamlin, sister Lavonne (Fry) Fields (husband Bill), and brother Edward Fry. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
