Neil was born November 22, 1935 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Harwin and Evelyn (Sisco) Wright. He grew up in Montrose and loved every minute of it. Neil started working for Modern Concrete in 1967 and happily retired October 31, 2002. He gained a lot of friends at his job, many who still to this day treat him like family. The guys from Modern Concrete and Neil all had something in common, they all loved going to the Roadhouse for a beverage after work. Neil married Donna M. Miller on June 27, 1981 in Burt. She preceded him in death May 30, 2009. Neil’s mornings were routine and genuine. He would start with a good breakfast, and lots of coffee. Neil enjoyed listening to classic country, watching Let’s Make a Deal, The Price is Right, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, the Detroit Tigers, and a good western.
Neil loved being outdoors, especially outback where him and his wife, Donna would make a garden to perfection every year. Neil would help Donna can all the beautiful veggies, along with additional help from their good friend, Boomer. Once Donna had enough of the two of them, she would kick them outback. Outback they would spend time hanging out in the pavilion, even if it were to rain; lots of laughs and memories were made there. If Neil was not gardening, he enjoyed playing horseshoes, Euchre, and pool. But most of all, he loved his family. Neil will always and forever be in our hearts. He was surrounded by love each and every day. His family and friends will forever be grateful to have had such a truly wonderful man in all their lives.
