GREEN, Chris Timothy – of Flint, MI, age 76, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held 12 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2023 and 11 AM-12 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, in Chris’s memory.
Chris was born in Flint, MI on November 23, 1946, son of the late Everett and Christine (Polk) Green. He was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1965. Chris proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-1969. He married Margaret “Maggie” Hurd on May 11, 1998. Chris retired from General Motors as a Millwright in 2000 after more than 36 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, camping, morning coffee with his friends, tinkering in the garage, drinking Coke and strawberry shakes and spending time with his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Maggie” Green; 2 children, Samantha Green and Tim (Shannon) Green; 3 step-children, Aaron Vedrody, Christine Vedrody and Amanda (Cory) Bristle; 8 grandchildren; 2 siblings, Sharon (Kevin) Guge and Kevin (Edrie) Green; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Christine Green; first wife and mother of his children, Sally (Fuson) Green.
