VUILLEMOT, Mary Ann – of Clio, Michigan, age 72, finished her journey on earth, and went to Heaven on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Flint, Michigan. She was surrounded by her family and friends, who all loved her dearly. Honoring her wishes, cremation will be taking place. A Celebration of Mary Ann’s Life will be held at the Clio Masonic Lodge - 714 N. Mill St., in Clio, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, starting at 12PM for family and friends.

Mary Ann was born on October 7, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, to Jack and Ellen (Evans) Ekleberry. She attended Northwestern High School in Flint where she met a fantastic group of friends that are still very close today. She graduated with the class of 1968. After high school, Mary Ann attended Flint Junior College while working as a nurse's aide. She met John Vuillemot on a blind date, and they were married July 28, 1973, and would have celebrated 50 years together. Mary Ann was a stay at home mom until the 1990’s before going to work retail in the office at BigWheel in Clio, Michigan. From there, she went on to Pamida in Clio, where she worked with Judy Raison (John’s sister) until the store closed. Mary Ann was a compassionate caregiver and loved taking care of everyone. She loved life and you could always find her with a smile on her face. Mary Ann’s strength, kindness, and love was never ending. If she was your friend, you knew she would always be there.

In recent years, she became a star independent consultant with Paparazzi Jewelry. During her time as a consultant, she met a lot of good friends along the way and absolutely loved it, it made her so happy. Mary Ann’s good friend, Laura, was her helper and they always had such a good time. Her friend and next door neighbor, Sandy, and her family were very special to Mary Ann and she loved trading jewelry with Sandy.

She was the proud grandma of two wonderful grandsons - Maddox and Jaxon Vuillemot. She loved her cat, Jitterbug, and all her granddogs and grandcats. Mary Ann was a wonderful mom and role model to her children - Jackie and Eric. Eric was, and still is the best caregiver around. Mary Ann was the rock and heart of her family. She will be loved forever and never be forgotten.

Surviving are: Husband of 50 years, John Vuillemot of Clio; Daughter, and best friend, Jacqueline “Jackie” Vuillemot; Youngest and only son, Eric Vuillemot of Clio; Grandsons: Maddox and Jaxon Vuillemot; Lifelong best friend, Susan Runyan; Brother, James Ekleberry; Loving sister-in-law, Mary Pat of Panama City Beach, Florida; Good friend, Laura (Bobby); A sister, many nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends. Last, but certainly not least, her special friends from high school, who she cherished with all of her heart and loved all the special trips they took together. The family extends a special thank you to Julie, Jennifer - (you are Jackie snd Eric’s hero), Amy, and all the nurses who cared for Mary Ann at McLaren Flint. She was preceded in death: Parents, Jack Ekleberry (1999) and Ellen L. Ekleberry. (2004); Favorite sister-in-law ever, Judy Raison and Emma - who she considered her granddaughter. Rest in peace, sweet Mary Ann, you made a big difference in this world. We love you to the moon and back and beyond the stars. We love you a bushel and a booper, Mama.
