Ronald Louis Trombly, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and talented musician, passed away on May 11, 2025 at the age of 74.


Ron was born on September 2, 1950 to Arline Neifert (Garvin) and Louis "Babe" Trombly. In 1970, he met and married Debra Perrigo, and together they shared 56 wonderful years of love and partnership. Ron was a devoted father to his daughter, Breena, and imparted his love and wisdom not only to her, but his grandchildren as well. Ron, Deb, and Breena had a bond like no other. Ron also enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing his lawn, and cheering on his favorite Detroit Lions.


A lifelong musician, Ron was both a gifted drummer and a soulful vocalist. Known as a "musician's musician," he embraced all genres of music, though jazz remained his true passion. His smooth vocals and masterful drumming left a lasting impression on everyone who had the joy of hearing him perform. Ron formed many special bonds over the years with his fellow band mates whom he loved like family.



Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bud Trombly, and his sister, Diana Radley.



He is survived by his loving wife, Debra, his daughter, Breena Slayton (Rich), and his cherished grandchildren Elijah, Willow, and Juni Slayton. He is also survived by his sisters Pam Talbott (Jay) and Dana Radley, along with many beloved cousins,nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.



A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 6, 2025 at Seven Lakes State Park in Fenton, Michigan. Details to follow.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, a charity close to Ron’s heart.
