BOHMS, Richard D. – of Davison, age 75, was welcomed into the Lord’s arms on July 25, 2023, at McLaren-Flint. A Memorial Service will be held at Davison Free Methodist Church, 502 Church Street, Davison, MI 48423 at 2 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023; Pastor Shane Bengry officiating. A private interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1 PM until the time of service, Saturday at the church.
Richard was born in Flint on August 20, 1947, son of the late Fred and Betty (Damon) Bohms. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army. Richard married Patricia Joy on December 21, 1974, in Richfield Township. He served 37 years at General Motors and Delphi. After retirement, Richard worked 8 years at Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed camping, antique cars, NASCAR, fishing, golfing, and bowling. He loved to make people smile every day. His greatest joy was serving God first, and secondly his family.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Bohms; children, Paul, Jacque and Katie Bohms; grandchildren, Gaven, Dylan Bohms, Teegan Rhein; two brothers, Chuck and Carl Bohms; one sister, Lisa (Chad) Everett; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Stheiner.
