WRIGHT, Carol (Kaufield) – of Davison, age 84, passed away January 29, 2024 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison 48423; Pastor Jon Gildner officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1-7 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.
Carol was born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 7, 1939, daughter of the late John and Lottie (Bonner) Kaufield. She attended Central Michigan University where she met and later married Dr. Ronald Wright on August 3, 1962 and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2007. Carol was passionate about education, working in several capacities from teaching high school French to teaching kindergarten to running a day care. Children gave her purpose. Carol was an active member at First Baptist Church and some of the activities she enjoyed included basket weaving, sewing, card club and exercise class. An avid gardener, Carol’s abundant produce could supply family, neighbors and friends for months. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren. They will deeply miss her presence.
Carol is survived by her children, Greg (Sue) Wright, Steve (Jennifer) Wright and Susie (Brian) Smith; grandchildren, Justin, Christopher (Amanda), Jacob (Ashley), Aleesa (Vince), Oliva (Jack), Paige, Maddy, Sawyer and Emma; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Owen, Ben and Gavin; brother, John (Marlene) Kaufield; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings.
