Ennis (Whitacre), Jill Lorraine, left this world for the next on May 18, 2022. Jill was born January 10, 1951 to Harold and Marion Whitacre. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School. Jill was a fiercely passionate advocate for abused and neglected children and devoted her life to this work, side-by-side with her husband of 45 years, Robert Ennis, who founded profit children’s services agency. Jill was also an artist and lover of beauty. She painted, carefully tended to her flowers and garden, was a wonderful cook and decorator. Gifted with words, she wrote and spoke in a way that captivated any audience. No one told a story like Jill. She radiated a natural grace, elegance, and style. Unfailingly kind, Jill filled every space with warmth. Above all else, Jill adored her family. Along with her husband Robert, Jill is survived by her daughter, Erin Covert (Andrew), son Robert Ennis Jr. (Angie), grandchildren Ryan, Hannah, Okera, Ashley, and Robert, plus canine companion Charly, several cousins, longtime friends, and her Ennis Center for Children family. Funeral services will be held at The River Church, Holly on Wed. May 25, 2022 from 10AM to 12 Noon. Jill was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeff Whitacre.
