STANLEY, Bonnie Lee – of New Lothrup, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at home.
Bonnie Lee Blindauer was the fourteenth child of John James and Helen Blindauer. She grew up on the Blindauer Farm in Mitchell, South Dakota, and moved to Michigan after marrying Gregory Stanley and had three daughters. Bonnie was a strong, stubborn woman, and also had the kindest and most loving heart – a great role model for her family. Everyone around her (friends, family, neighbors, friends of her grandchildren, strangers) felt and benefited from that kindness and love every day.
Bonnie loved spending time with friends, family, and especially her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She instilled the importance of family in her children and grandchildren, and you could always find her playing games or doing puzzles with them. Bonnie loved to cook and bake and found joy in sending baked care packages to all of them. She also loved her football. On Saturdays, you could always hear her cheering for her beloved MSU Spartans, and on Sundays, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The grandkids would often call her during game time and razz her to keep it down.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Pam (Steve) Kehn, Trisha (Phil) Williamson, and Kellie (Mike) Stites; her grandchildren, Jessica Kinzel, Megan Bates, Katie Stites, Nathan Bates, Rachel Stites, Philip Stites, Mitchell Kehn, and Nolan Kehn; her great grandchildren, Jasmine, Gabriel Bates and Jackson Magyar; siblings, four sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by six siblings. We also want to recognize her Ohio family. Thank you Byorth’s, for making our mom a part of your family. Please know she loved you all very much.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N Dayton Street, Davison MI at 12 PM Saturday, March 6, 2021; Rev. Fr. John M. Machiorlatti celebrant. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM – 12 PM prior to the mass at church.
