Ford, Mary Jane, of Flint, age 101, passed away on Dec. 25, 2022, at her home in Flint, Michigan. Mary Jane was born in Bay City on Sept. 24 1921, daughter of the late George and Alice Ford. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1939, where she went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from MSU in 1943. She started working as a Dietitian with Hurley Medical Center in 1943, and later became Food Service Manager at the University of Illinois until 1951. After that she moved on to Head Dietitian at McLaren Regional Medical Center in 1954, where she worked until 1984. In 1953 she joined McLaren Auxiliary, which helped in giving back to the community it served. Mary Jane was a frequent world traveler. Some places included Russia and China. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan. A private burial of her cremains will be held at a later date.
