Mrs. Dorothy Faye "DorFaye" Jackson

Age 69 born January 27th, 1954 to Pearl Mae and Robert Cornelius in Elgin, Illinois. After her birth the family moved to Caro, Illinois where she attended elementary school then relocated to Kokomo, Indiana where she had her first daughter Lisa Ann before moving to Charleston, Missouri with her Aunt Maggie and Uncle Oddie graduating from Charleston High School in 1974.

After being named Homecoming Queen and graduation Dorothy affectionately called "DorFaye"was on the move again this time to Flint, Michigan. Where she remained until her transition. Dorothy known for her charisma, big eyes and high cheekbones, and beautiful singing voice prided herself in her appearance always dressed and styled with elegance. Eventually Dorothy met Harry "BoJack" Jackson and wedded in 1983. Producing 4 more children Twins Girls Adriane and Ashley, Andrea, and Aaron.

Dorothy who was a stay at home mother and business owner was a clever entrepreneur who found unique was to create revenue from owning a daycare to yard sells, and anything in between. Dorothy would offer to help organize any and everything for her family and those at the Kingdom Halls all over Flint. She was only a call away for planning a wedding, bridal shower, open house, funerals. She really enjoyed planning her black tie jazz affairs, seeing the brothers and sisters enjoying themselves brought her much happiness.

Being the fifth child of seventeen Dorothy was a leader and a thinker. She found ways to help anyone who needed it. She enjoyed talking on the phone and visiting with her brothers and sisters especially Darlene who she referred to as "Qween". She was always proud of her many nieces and nephews, she loved the way they loved and respected her.

But what Dorothy loved the most was Jehovah God, getting baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1996 at the Pontiac Silverdome and serving him faithfully until her expiration. She loved her spiritual brothers and sisters in a pure genuine manner. We can be sure that Jehovah has our loving mother, sister, and friend in his memory.

Dorothy leaves behind to Honor her memory: Daughters Lisa Arrick, Adriane Jackson, Ashley (Glennon) Jones, Andrea (Ishmael) Jackson and son Aaron (Gislain) Jackson grandchildren Quinest and Jayla Johnson, Kaitlyn and Kayla Simpson, Gavan and Grant Jackson all of Flint, MI great grandchildren Christopher Anderson, Carter Young, Quinest Johnson Jr and Kennedy Alexander Johnson. 7 Sisters Barbra (Arnell) Borum, Christie Everhart of Memphis, TN; Darlene (Justice) of Grand Blanc, MI; LauraAnn Cornelius, Rosemary (Norman) Fitzgerald, Maggie Evans, Tina (Harold) Redmond all of Flint, MI. 5 Brothers Robert Cornelius, James Cornelius, Henry (Tasha) Cornelius all of Flint, MI Kevin (Shonna) Cornelius of Mobile, Alabama; and DeShon Everhart of Kokomo, IN; and host of niece and nephews.
