SMITH, Marilyn Joyce - age 88, of Swartz Creek, died August 22, 2021. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Pastor Daniel Patz officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or Lung Cancer Foundation of America (www.lcfamerica.org). Marilyn was born June 13, 1933 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Earl and Nellie (Lobdell) Mays. She was a graduate of Linden High School and married Harry Smith on June 26, 1954. She enjoyed painting, crafts and playing golf. Surviving are: husband, Harry Smith; children, Deborah (Larry) Cross, Terry (Kelly) Smith, Jodi Stiles, and Barbara DeCaire; daughter-in-law, Christine Smith; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bud Mays, Dick Mays, Jean (Ed) Green, and Barbara Knotts; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, David Smith; and brother, Ron Mays. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
