McKone, JoAnn of Flushing, age 83, died Monday, January 3, 2022, at Ascension-Genesys. A Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
JoAnn was born in Alma, Michigan on January 23, 1938, the daughter of Leonard and Lillian (Roberson) Clark. She married Richard McKone in Flushing, Michigan on November 9, 1957. JoAnn enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and could tend to any house plant. Her greatest joy was her family and loved spending time with them.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard; children, Michelle Bensch, David and wife Wendy McKone, Richard (Dru Steen) McKone; grandchildren, Katrina (Rocky), Amanda (Jason), Shayn (Madison), Erica, Lauren (Jared) Lindsey, Katie, Mitchell (Madi), Jade, Jewel; brother, Michael and wife Sally Clark; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Bruce Bensch and brothers, David and Richard Clark.
