STITES, B. Marie - Of Grand Blanc formerly of Traverse City, age 90, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Clarkston.
Contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Marie was born in Milford, Michigan on March 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Russell Allen and Martha Owen. She was an advocate for helping disabled children. She was the wife of the co-founder of Genesee Cut Stone and Marble. Marie belonged to various Bridge clubs. She was also an avid golfer, bowler, traveler and loved her family.
Surviving are children, Russ (Teresa), Sheryl (Bob) Lorenz, Craig and Larry (Candy);
grandchildren, Mike (Kellie) Stites, Mark (Didi) Stites, Roman (Meike) Lorenz. Shayne (Carrie) Lorenz, Travis (Katie) Lorenz, Stacy (Phil) Licari, Jason Stites, and Kristy (Erik) Schaffer;
19 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, step-father, Thomas Owen, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
