Doreen G. Hunt age 82 of Davison passed away Tuesday February 18, 2014 at Stonegate Health Campus, Lapeer. A funeral services will be held Friday February 21, 2014 at 11:00am at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Chaplin Joe Sola officiating with burial at Dawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive visitors from 10:00am until of service on Friday. Doreen was born in Flint, Michigan on August 5, 1931 the daughter of the late William and Mary (Ridley) Job. She was joined in marriage to Harold Hunt on June 17, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2009, they resided in the Flint area until moving to Davison in early 1961. Doreen took pride in being a homemaker for her family, she was an avid reader, and dedicated Detroit Tigers fan, and was fortunate to travel the world, which she truly enjoyed. During the last three years of her life, she enjoyed having parties of any kind, eating lots of ice cream, and doing things no one thought she’d ever do. Doreen leaves behind 2 sons: William (Glenda) Hunt of Davison, and Michael (Gale) Hunt of Lake Odessa; 3 grandchildren: William Parks of Davison, Michelle Stoneburner and Geneen Hunt, both of Lake Odessa; 2 great grandchildren Aaron and Alexis Stoneburner; sister: Joan Scrivener of Davison; special friends: Frank and Nadine Wolcott and Bill and Doris Thurlow. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Stongate Health Campus of Lapeer along with her caring nurse Julie from Hospice Advantage.
