ROSS, Mitchell L. – of Montrose, age 60, died Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Macomb Select Specialty Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 3PM Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service. Honoring Mitchell’s wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Mitchell was born on February 15, 1963, in Flint, to Elvin and Judy (Peterson) Ross. He graduated from Montrose Community Schools and was a jack-of-all-trades who found fulfillment in the construction industry. With his knowledge and skillset, he left a lasting mark on the projects he worked on. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mitchell had a gift for storytelling and had a unique way of bringing levity to any situation, ensuring that laughter filled the room. He had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace in the wild. Hunting and fishing were not only cherished pastimes for him, but sacred opportunities to connect with nature and create lasting memories with his five beautiful grandchildren. Mitchell adored his grandchildren and found immense joy in sharing special adventures with them - whether it was mushroom hunting or simply soaking up the little moments, Mitchell cherished every second spent with his grandbabies. Mitchell’s absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his spirit will forever live on through the memories he created.
Mitchell is forever loved by his children: Timothy (Amber) Taylor and Trisha (Rick) Gibson; Beloved partner and best friend of 34 years, Sherry Weber; Grandchildren: Patricia, Jered, Cole, Arizona, and Remington; Mother, Judy Ross; Brothers: Wes (Patricia) Ross and Rod (Loree) Ross; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Mitchell was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya; Father, Elvin Ross; Many beloved family members; Furry companions: Bandit and Dozer. |
