Frederick John Meyer, age 72 of Flint, passed away on January 2, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A committal service,with Military Honors will take place at 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2023 on Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his son, John Meyer of Flint. Sister, Janet Legetko of Lewiston. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Frederick was born on December 3, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to the late Garfield and Marian (Krueger) Meyer. He graduated from Northwestern High School before receiving his Associates Degree from Mott Community College. He was a proud father who served our country with the United States Army's 10th Special Forces Group during the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Meyer was preceded in death by sister, Diane Pritchard and brother, Robert Meyer.
