Laura Swafford, of Flushing, Michigan, age 69, died Monday, March 27, 2023. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 15th, at 2 p.m. at the Living Promise Church, 7457 Elms Rd. Flushing Mi.
Laura was born in Cass City, Michigan on April 22, 1953 to Gerald and Virginia Harp. She graduated from Flint Beecher High School in 1971 and started her career at Beecher Jr. High as a secretary. After her retirement, she moved to Grant, Michigan and worked as a medical assistant. Laura was very involved in her church, South Ensley United Methodist, and also with her children. In her free time, she also enjoyed word searches.
Laura is survived by her children, Denis (Rikki) Swafford and Derek (Christine) Swafford; mother, Virginia Harp-Yocom; and brothers, Steven (Scoob) Harp and Ronald (Mischelle) Harp. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Harp. |
