STACY, Virgie - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away June 8, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, June 13, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-6 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Virgie was born February 22, 1937 in Bud, WV, the daughter of Samuel Lawrence and Bertie Alice (Church) Sargent. She married James Stacy on July 23, 1955; he preceded her in death on December 31, 2018. Mrs. Stacy was a bus driver for Fenton Schools for many years. She then worked for K-Mart, where she retired as the Personnel Manager. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family. She was the most loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She shared the gift of her angelic voice as a member of the musical group Soul Seekers. Virgie is survived by her children, Teresa (Bobby) Lamrock, Jean (Eric) Publow, Jamie (Tina) Stacy, Penny (Robert) Harper and Tina (Bill) Thommen; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Young; brother, Eddie (Betty) Prater; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Nathan; granddaughter, Rachel; great-grandson, Hayden and brother, Troy. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
