Veda Lucille (Miracle) Goodrow, 85, of Lupton, MI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 25, 2014. She was born in Flint, MI, on April 9, 1928, the eldest of four children of George and Verba (Chase) Miracle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, and a grandson, Matthew Albers.
She leaves behind her three children, Brenda (Howard) Albers, Gary Gaudreau, and Gilford (Julie) Goodrow, along with three grandchildren, Mark Albers (fiancée, Frances Lee), Micah Albers and Lillian Goodrow. She is also survived by her brothers, George Owen (Martha) Miracle, Leo (Patricia) Miracle and sister Marilyn (Glen) Schroeder, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A graduate of Flint Central High School, Lucille (as she was known) worked for 25 years in the office at Kmart on Miller Road in Flint. She retired in 1990, and shortly thereafter, she and Bob built their retirement cabin on the Miracle Family farm, where she grew up, in Lupton, MI. She loved to keep in touch with her family and friends. Her favorite Bible verse was Philippians 1:3 – I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.
A celebration of Lucille’s life is being planned for late April or early May. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Ogemaw County Senior Center. Arrangements handled by the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home. www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
