Blanche L. (Whitetree) Dean of Davison, age 92, passed Saturday November 26, 2022 at the Pines of Burton. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Blanche’s memory to the American Heart Association.
Blanche was born in Flint Michigan on September 7, 1930 the daughter of the late; Jesse and Opal Whitetree, and had spent most of her life in the Davison area, and many of her retirement years in Florida. She was joined in marriage to William E. Dean on December 3, 1949 at Asbury United Methodist Church, Flint and he preceded her in death on Aug 26, 2004. Blanche enjoyed crocheting, knitting many Afghans, and dishcloths for family and friends, and taking time to read a good book. Her love for the outdoors included bike riding and numerous hours gardening. But her true passion was her baking of Molasses cookies, her son Jim’s favorite apple pie and many other treats and goodies. She loved her family, grandchildren and especially her “four legged grand dogs”. She proudly loved her Native-American ancestry and was a member of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma. Blanche worked at Bon Appetit Catering & J.Dean Sausage & Jerky Co for many years.
Surviving is son James (Gayla) Dean, and daughter-in-law Diana Dean. She also leaves her loving grandchildren: Thomas, Joe (Julie), Trevor, Jeffery (Rachel), Shane (Fiancée Kali), Adrian (Tina), Wesley (Aria), and her great grandchildren: Cori, Brooklyn, William, James, Zella, Zinnia, Azalea, Magnolia, and Louis.
