Mitchell (Mitch) Leland Bard, age 61, passed away suddenly on August 17, 2020 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Both will be held at Home Missionary Baptist Church, located at 8475 N. Saginaw St. in Mt. Morris, Michigan on Saturday August 29, 2020. Pastor Dan Gordon officiating.
"Mitch" was born January 18, 1960 in Flint, Michigan to his parents Gordon and Barbara (Craven) Bard. He graduated from Elizabeth Ann Johnson Memorial High School in 1978 and later attended Mott Community College.
Throughout his life, Mitch worked as a painter, journeyman, HVAC technician and as a long haul truck driver. He especially loved Kentucky, which he called home for several years.
Mitch grew up playing softball and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed making bread with his mom and perfected his homemade BBQ sauce for friends and family BBQ’s. Mitch was a big sports fan and enjoyed watching sports on cable TV.
Mitch is survived by his parents, Barbara and Gordon Bard and siblings Michael Bard, Mark Bard, and Luanne (Bill) Hammond several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
His surviving children are Amanda Dehmel (Kevin), Mitchell Bard, Shannon (William) Fredell, Darcey Bard; grandchildren, Shiree Bard, Gavin Willis, Scarlett Dehmel, Valerie Fredell and Brandon Fredell.
Mitch will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. |
