Hope Maria McGraw
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Hope Maria McGraw, a devoted soul who departed from us on October 14, 2023, in Flint, Michigan. Born on February 16, 1972, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Ramona (Moreno) Perez and the late Vicenta Villareal, Hope's journey was marked by unwavering faith and profound love.
Surviving are Daughter Ramona Sanchez, Brother Smiley And Heather McGraw, Sister Juanita & Bill Montague, Brother Jesse McGraw, Sister Carmen & John Larson, Brother Frank McGraw & David Wilson, Brother Lucio & Crystal Perez, and lots of nieces and nephews.
Hope, a humble and gracious individual, found solace in the embrace of her spiritual community. While we recognize the importance of faith in her life. It guided her actions, instilling in her a deep reverence for all of creation and a commitment to serving others.
Her devotion to her daughter, Ramona, was unparalleled. Hope's heart overflowed with love as she selflessly cared for her, ensuring that every moment they shared was filled with joy and cherished memories. Her daughter was the center of her universe, and their bond was a testament to the power of a mother's love.
In the tapestry of Hope's life, her passions were interwoven with her devotion to family. She found immense joy in the act of cooking, creating meals that nourished not only their bodies but also their spirits. Dancing brought her soul to life, allowing her to express her gratitude for the gift of movement. And in her travels, she discovered the beauty and diversity of the world, marveling at the wonders that unfolded before her.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2500 North Franklin Avenue, Flint, Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Hope will be at church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
As we bid farewell to our dear Hope, may her soul find eternal peace and may her memory serve as a guiding light, illuminating our paths with the lessons she taught us. May her loved ones find solace in the embrace of cherished memories and the knowledge that her sprit will forever reside within their hearts.
