THICK, Dennis “Snapper” Earl – of Goodrich, MI, age 73, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, 11 AM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. The family will receive visitors 4-7 Monday, December 26, 2022 and 12-1 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project, in Dennis’s memory.
Dennis was born in Flint, MI on November 5, 1949, son of the late Robert and Barbara (Delaney) Thick. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. Dennis retired from General Motors in 2001 after more than 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Brandy Steiner; 2 grandchildren, Seth Steiner and Sydnee Steiner; 2 siblings, Richard “Rick” Thick and Kathy (Mike) Flynn; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Thick; brother, Louis Thick.
