Zehnder, Peter M. – of Clio, age 69, went home to heaven Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Funeral service will be held at 11AM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Mark Lutheran Church – 5073 Daly Blvd, Flint MI. Pastor Jeff Forechette to officiate. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 3PM until 8PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, also on Friday at Church from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran or a charity of one’s choice.
Peter was born in Pontiac, MI on August 15, 1954. The son of Leo and Betty (Gearhart) Zehnder. On July 16, 1983, he married Patrice Jordon of Flint. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a huge Lions, Tiger, and Red Wing’s fan. Peter enjoyed many summer vacations in Eagle Harbor, MI at his in-law’s cottage on Lake Superior. He was a licensed contractor that always had the time and willingness to help a family member or friend in need. Peter retired from Flint Assembly in 2008 with 35 years. His family was his pride and joy, and he always kept them laughing. More than anything he will be dearly missed by many.
Surviving are: Wife, Patrice; Sons: David (Sarah), Michael (Srijana); Daughter, Rachel (Travis); Grandchildren: Braden, Casey, Gabriel, Christian, and Sadie; Brothers: Auguste (Barbara), Douglas; Sisters: Jerri-Lynn (John) and Susan (Monnie); Brother-In-Law, Mark (Marilyn); Sister-In-Law, Hilda, Jennifer (Dan), and Stephanie (Rick); Many nieces and nephews, and many many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, In-Laws, David, and Jeannine; Brother-In-Law, Doug; Special cousin, “Little Bit.” The family would like to send a special thank you to Drs.
