Martin Dale Irwin, born on July 8, 1948, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024. He was the beloved son of the late John Duane Irwin and Icelea Velta Roper. Martin was preceded in death by his sisters, Darlene Anderson, Jacqueline Irwin, and Karla Irwin. He is survived by his brother, Michael Irwin. Martin shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with his cherished wife, Jacqueline Irwin. Together, they built a loving family.
Martin was a devoted father to his children, Alanna Trzil, married to Todd, and Anthony Irwin. He was a proud grandfather to Alanna's children, Josiah and Elijah, and Anthony's son, Anthony (AJ) Irwin. Through his marriage to Jacqueline, Martin embraced her children as his own: Donnie Youmans, father to Joseph (Joe); Julie Eickho, married to Dan, with children Megan and Ethan, and Megan's son, Lincoln; and Doug Youmans, married to Charisse. Martin dedicated 37.7 years of his career to General Motors, where he worked as a skilled electrician.
His commitment and expertise were highly valued by his colleagues and the company. Beyond his professional life, Martin had a passion for adventure and service. He enjoyed scuba diving, a pursuit that took him to the depths of the ocean, and he also served as a sheriff's deputy, contributing to the safety and well-being of his community. Additionally, Martin had a love for drag racing, a thrilling hobby that brought him joy and excitement.
Later in life he began his love for golf and watching his grandkids sporting events. At these events, he was known as the "snack guy" where he would bring food for the entire team and others he sat next to. Martin Dale Irwin will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his work, and his adventurous spirit. His legacy will live on
in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. |
